how to be resilient

MEET THE TEAM

helping people move forward stronger

In 2017, Resilient Coaching was born. Forged in the fires of marriage, ministry, and the messes of everyday life, Liz and I launched our coaching practice to empower people to thrive in every season. Through our journey, we developed a resilient perspective that empowered us to leverage struggle for success. It taught us that God can turn every setback into a setup and transform our pain into purpose. This perspective shaped our coaching process.

The heartbeat of our process is to help individuals and relationships develop five layers of their identity by moving from their False Self to their True Self. This requires an adventure of the soul that leads to securely loving God, ourselves, and others with our entire identity. In addition to our proven coaching process and hundreds of tools, we work with each client to create a personal transformation plan tailored to them.

Our coaching process and tools have been influenced by the work of John Eldredge, Jim Wilder, Henri Nouwen, Dan Siegel, Dan Allender, Kurt Thompson, C.S. Lewis, John and Julie Gottman, Brene Brown, Caroline Leaf, Emerson Eggerichs, John Bevere, Mark Brackett, David Kessler, Jay Stringer, and Adam Young among many others. â€‹

Our coaching process has helped hundreds of clients become resilient and move forward stronger. To allow this impact to expand, we launched the Resilient Coaching Collective in 2024. Through the Collective, additional coaches are trained and certified in the Resilient Coaching process to confidently coach clients of their own.

Meet the Team below and choose which coach you would like to work with. Each coach offers a Complimentary Session to help you explore the process with no strings attached.

JOHN GRANDY

RESILIENT COACHING FOUNDEr, CERTIFIED LIFE COACH (CLC)

When I started Resilient in 2017, I wanted our coaching practice to help others experience restoration like I did. Growing up as one of six kids in a Motor City suburb laid a foundation for grit and hard work. A foundation I needed to face identity crises throughout life that built within me the resilient character to move forward stronger. What if life's challenges could shape us instead of shatter us? What if we could develop resilience to endure every storm we face?

  • Have you felt stuck in an identity crisis not knowing what your purpose is?

  • What do you do when you feel like your marriage
    or relationship is falling apart?

  • What if you could discover purpose in your pain?

  • Could a transition you are going through be a setup instead of a set back?

I'm a holistic lifestyle coach that helps others realize blind spots, heal hurts, navigate spiritual direction, and step into their God-given potential. I'm called to help people discover God's purpose in their pain. No matter where you are on your journey, I want to help you move forward stronger.

TRAUMA & GRIEF COUNSELOr,
RESILIENT COACHING CO-FOUNDER

I would have never guessed that healing through a boating accident would inspire me to become a counselor, but it did. Sometimes the most unexpected experiences in life reveal our greatest moments of transformation. Unwanted sexual abuse. Grief from a great loss. Anxiety caused by health struggles. Instead of running away from these experiences, what if we could turn toward them and ask what they want to teach us?

  • How do you hold onto hope through a season of deep grief and loss?

  • How do you heal and develop healthy sexuality in the wake of sexual abuse?

  • What if the courage to be vulnerable could set you free from shame?

  • Could discovering wholeness be the missing piece you are looking for?

I'm a Trauma and Grief Counselor passionate about helping others tell the truth about their stories so they can be set free. I'm called to lead others in truth and vulnerability towards healing and wholeness in Christ. How can I help you heal on your journey?

FRANTZ CESAR

CERTIFIED LIFE COACH (CLC)

Growing up as an inner city kid in Queens NY, I had to face both internal and external struggles head on. Overcoming my own battles with abandonment and guilt carved a pathway to healing and inner strength which became my passion. When we investigate our own brokenness, we discover a journey of healing.

  • What are the parts of you that have been lost in guilt and shame?

  • Is there a better way to wrestle with abandonment from family wounds?

  • Are you looking for coping strategies for grief?

  • How do we overcome insecurity and forgive ourselves?

Let's explore these questions together. I am a self-empowerment coach. I help others rediscover confidence in their identity and equip them with tools to process life's struggles. My goal is to light the way for a better, resilient you.
